Dustin - 8 Months

Dustin turned 8 months on Easter Sunday - April 5, 2015. I know I will say this often "I can't believe he's already __ months! Where has the time gone?"  But really, I remember being in the first year with his oldest brother and it felt like a very long time. Was it because I was a new mom and everything was new and exhausting (wait, I'm still exhausted!)?

It feels like time just slips away... I see pregnant women and I can remember it like yesterday... rubbing my tummy and feeling Dustin kick.

Now we're already halfway through April and soon he will be 9 months... Please stop! Can we just stop the earth from turning? Can we all just stop time and live in this moment a little longer? Pleeeeeeaaaaaseeee?! Everyday, I wake up, drag the boys to preschool and leave my baby to go to work for 9 hours and gather them all up at the end of the day to spend such short moments with them and having to tuck them in and do it all over again.


Enough of my complaining. Back to Dustin...


I brought him to see the doctor because I thought he was wheezing on the 5th. He has had colds on and off thanks to his loving kisses from his brothers. He weighed 18 lbs 14.1 oz.

I haven't put him down much to let him explore because I'm afraid the boys will hurt him. Lately, when I put him down, he lunges for things... grabbing anything close by and reaching for things he really wants. I dragged out the old foam mats and cleaned them off and brought out age appropriate toys for him. He looks like he's very interested in crawling. Hopefully allowing him some time on the floor will help him.

He wasn't that interested in eating rice cereal last month. He would always shake his head and close his mouth (lips shut). It's really the cutest thing! Sui Fong (nanny) says he eats rice cereal really well.  I was not getting the same results.


Well.... just last week, he was chasing the spoon and got angry when I wasn't feeding him fast enough! It was so awesome! he's finally eating! He eats Oatmeal Cereal. He also likes the Gerber Carrots.

He babbles a lot. He gets so happy when you talk to him. When he gets excited, he'll flap his arms and kick his legs. He's been grabbing his feet a lot and even put it in his mouth a few times.


Lately, he's been blowing bubbles and spitting from it. His brothers thinks it's funny and it's hard to make your 8 month not do that and it's harder to stop your 2 year old and 4 year old from copying him cause they think it's hilarious!


I can see the white under his bottom gums and he's drooling excessively but once a day, I feel it and I haven't felt anything sharp yet.
